Translated 358/2 Day Scans and More

Thanks for being patient guys! I’ve been working on the interview and hopefully will post part of it soon. In the mean time, welcome gold_panner to HEARTSTATION.ORG! I’m so grateful to have her help around here and already she’s begun working hard. She’s finished translating the 5th chapter of the Kingdom Hearts II: Short Stories Vol.2 Axel — Seven Days and the page has been updated to include it, so please go take a read!

A few days ago scans from Famitsu featuring Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days were uploaded and we’re half way through them. I did the editing and my new partner gold_panner did the translating on the scans, please enjoy reading them!

In other news, Japanese bloggers like Arika-san from the Light in Chaos and Akisame-san from the Room of Sleep have mentioned a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days playing in storefronts that seems based on the trailer played at Jump Festa 2009. Here are are some of the details they shared:

- Roxas is shown using the Bond of Flames keyblade

- Xion was the only member not appearing in the multiplayer select screen

- Donald and Goofy made appearances

- The style graphics have changed since Jump Festa like:

- Addition of names under character’s face icons
- The limit gauge

- Scenes concerning Xion‘s connections are replace with ones reflecting her character

- At the Castle That Never Was, Xion picks up a seashell like that of Destiny Island and puts it to her ear, saying she can hear the sounds of the ocean

- In the back alley of Twilight Town, Hayner, Pence, and Olette gather at the side of Axel and Roxas

- Axel and Xion talk in the Castle of Oblivion, was Roxas there too?

- At the Castle That Never Was, Xion hangs her head low and says, “I… I’m not me..?”

- In the white room of the mansion in Twilight Town, Xion faces Namine and asks, “What should I do?”

- Xion appears to be crying in her bed at the Castle That Never Was

- Xion and Axel appear to be be looking for something on a computer then they both collapse

- Only Xion rises and leaves Axel behind

- Xion places a pebble/shell beside Roxas who is sleeping and then leaves silently

- After that, a scene where Xion encounters and speaks with Riku in Twilight Town

Interesting stuff! Hopefully the trailer will leak soon. Keep looking forward to more updates!

    As usual, thanks for your hard work! I really appreciate it! It’s because of you two that I get more and more excited about Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days every day!
    I think it’s interesting how everyone’s so nice to Roxas. I wonder if they get meaner later since they’re so different when you see them in the games or read about them in the novels. And I’m actually quite happy that Roxas can use the Bond of Flames keyblade. XD (of course other ones too).
    I hope that trailer is leaked soon too! It sounds really interesting, and I’m glad it’s new!

    Dang, stuff gets done with two of you now. I love finally seeing some translations of the Short Stories~ I read the 7 Days and really liked seeing another side of the story, and hope we can see even more of the stories?

    Happy to see the translations, and a better explanation of Zexion. :O (The people in the Days Pictochat are nuts, aren’t they?)

    Hope someone stands there and films the new trailer, it sounds really interesting.

    Wonderful job with the translation! <3 Like Sylpherius said, I keep getting more and more excited for this game because of the Heartstation team. I absolutely cannot wait! :D

    May I ask when the other two scans (namely the one featuring Marluxia) will be translated and uploaded?
